With its version 1.0, PVsystBasic offers an intuitive and simplified approach to simulating photovoltaic pumping systems. It allows you to configure, analyze, and optimize pumping projects thanks to a clear interface and tools adapted to essential needs.

  • System Design: Design solar-powered photovoltaic pumping systems. PVsystBasic guides you step-by-step in selecting components to size your system.
  • Simulation and Results: The simulation calculates the annual amount of water pumped, analyzes key indicators such as water pumped, water distributed, and efficiency through a detailed report.
  • Offline Mode: PVsystBasic works entirely without an internet connection. The built-in databases allow you to perform your simulations without requiring network access.

Develop your skills:

  • Technical tools: a set of tools and explanatory materials covering the fields of electricity, photovoltaics, and hydraulics.
  • Analysis tools: features that allow for determining the optimal operating points, analyzing borehole characteristics from hydraulic tests, and other essential key parameters.
  • Help: contextual help in French and English is included at every step of your simulations. This help allows you to better understand the window you are in and provides you with detailed explanations.

Installation & System Requirements

Installation prerequisites:
  • PVsystBasic must be installed on the workstation where it will be used, and one license per computer is required.
Supported operating systems:
  • All client Windows versions currently supported by Microsoft: Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • All server Windows versions currently supported by Microsoft: Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022
Unsupported operating systems:
    Application servers (Citrix, ZenDesktop, ZenApp,…), Remote Desktop, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Enterprise editions.
Minimum required configuration:
  • At least 2 GB RAM
  • At least 2 GB of free hard disk space
  • Graphics card supporting OpenGL 2.0 or higher
