Simulation variables: geometry

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The simulation calculates several variables concerning the solar geometry, which may be listed in the CSV file of hourly values.

These variables are obviously instantaneous, calculated in the middle of the measurement interval  (Hour + 30 min + Timeshift).  Accumulations in daily or monthly values doesn't make sense.

HSol                Height of the sun

AzSolAzimuth of the sun (with respect to South in Nordern hemisphere, and North in Southern hemisphere)
AngIncIncidence angle  (sun direction with respect to the normal to the plane)
AngProfProfile angle  (for sheds or trackers)
PlTiltInstantaneous Plane tilt, when varying with the sun (tracking)
PlAzimtInstantaneous Plane azimuth, when varying with the sun (tracking)
PhiAngAngle between the tracker and the "rest position"
PhiInFrTracking frames: phi or tilt angle within the frame
