Light Soaking for CIGS

With CIS / CIGS technology modules, we typically observe a performance increase after several hundred hours of sun exposure due to atomic rearrangement in the cell's material structure under light.

Some manufacturers claim this benefit is around 3–5% of initial STC values, but it is usually not reported in specifications. You can specify this gain (according to manufacturer recommendations), but you should be aware that the resulting simulation will not be valid for the first production year.

Additionally, we currently have no information about how long this benefit lasts.
