Grid System Presizing
Presizing is a rough estimation of the PV system energy yield based on a few general parameters. It is mainly intended for architects during an early site evaluation and should not be used for detailed system design.
Weather data are computed in monthly values (taking plane orientation and horizon into account) and apply efficiency coefficients based on PV technology and other considerations. These coefficients can be adjusted by an expert user for special conditions in the Hidden parameters. The expected precision is typically around 10% or more.
More precise results will be obtained with the hourly simulation performed through the "Project Design" option, including realistic available components and detailed system perturbations.
The financial aspects are based on rough assumptions that can vary widely between countries. These financial parameters can be adjusted by choosing "Edit costs" in the economic results sheet.
