Profile Angle

The profile angle is the sun's height relative to a given azimuth. It is used for all mutual shading calculations (unlimited sheds or trackers, walls, balconies, etc.).

The profile plane is a vertical plane passing through a horizontal line perpendicular to a given azimuth and containing the sun.

The profile angle for a given azimuth is the angle between the profile plane and the horizontal plane.
