Advanced parameters

PVsyst contains many predefined values used as parameters, default values, and warning thresholds. These values can be changed by the user. Be aware that when you modify a value, it remains in effect for the entire system until you change it again.

Note: some values are specified in the project settings and are used when editing any variants of that project. In this case, the value shown in "Advanced parameters" acts as an initial value for any new project.

Be aware that modified advanced parameters are not stored with the variant. If you rerun a simulation with different values, the results may be affected without notice. This limitation will be addressed in a future version.

Managing the advanced parameters

You can view or modify an advanced parameter from the PVsyst main menu: Settings => Edit advanced parameters. This tool also shows which parameters have been modified by the user.

If you have to change a property, you should check that the concerned parameter is not specified in the Project's settings.
