Inverter: voltage limits
The inverter can perform the MPP tracking within a given voltage range, specified by VmppMin and VmppMax.
When the MPP of the array is outside of this range, the inverter behavior may be:
| Limitation | the operating point is clipped to the limit voltage VmppMin or VmppMax (behavior of all modern inverters). The difference between the MPP and the power at this voltage is lost. |
| Cut | in some older models, inverter production stopped when encountering such conditions, resulting in complete loss of production. |
