Copying document pages to Clipboard
Using the Copy to Clipboard button in the "Print options" dialog will store the whole printed page as an image. You can paste the image directly into another software (for example Word, Paint, etc).
With Word, it is recommended to use Paste special and uncheck the Dissociate from text option, as image frames are difficult to manage in this software.
Memory usage for different resolution options
Be aware that a page image consumes significant memory. The "Options" allow you to choose the resolution. Note that:
- 100 DPI will give coarse outputs, but occupies "only" 790 kB for each page.
- 150 DPI give results almost as good as 200 DPI but use only around 1.8 MB.
- 200 DPI will give good outputs when printing, but consumes about 3.2 MB of memory.
- 300 DPI will give better outputs when printing.
- 600 DPI will give great outputs when printing.
After pasting into Word, the images are compressed, and the resulting Word .DOC file will be about 60 to 70 kB per PVsyst page image at 200 DPI.
