Activation key

The activation key is a 35-character code used to identify your license purchase. Keep it in a safe place, as you will need it when activating and synchronizing your license.

How to get an activation key ?

Visit https://www.pvsyst.com/shop to purchase a license or a subscription extension. You will receive the activation key by email. You will receive one activation key for each license purchased.

When do I need my activation key ?

  • License activation: to enjoy full capabilities of PVsyst you have to activate it, this requires the activation key.
  • License synchronization: when you purchase an update support extension or need to renew your license, it must be synchronized. The activation key is required, but if you have already activated the license, it will be stored in PVsyst, so you do not need to remember it.
  • License transfer: if you need to move your license to another computer, you must first deactivate it on the old computer and then activate it on the new one (this is a standard license activation, so it requires the activation key).

What is the difference between PVsyst 6 activation keys and newer activation keys ?

The PVsyst 6 activation keys are 32 characters long, when the newer PVsyst activation keys are 35 characters long and they start with "v7-" or "v8-" depending on when you purchased it.
