Copying document pages to Clipboard

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Copying all document pages is a convenient way to store final PVsyst results in documents or to send them for example by e-mail.

Using the "Copy to Clipboard" button in the "Print options" dialog will store the whole printed page as an image. You can paste the image directly into another software (for example Word, Paint, etc).

Please note that with Word, you are advised to use "Paste special" and then uncheck the option "Dissociate from text", as image frames are very difficult to manage in this software.

Memory usage for different resolution options

But be aware that such an image of an entire page takes up quite a lot of memory: That is why the "Options"  provide the possibility of choosing the resolution. Please note that:

-100 DPI will give coarse outputs, but occupies "only" 790 kB for each page.

-150 DPI give results almost as good as 200 DPI but use only around 1.8 MB.

-200 DPI will give good outputs when printing, but consumes about 3.2 MB of memory.

-300 DPI will give better outputs when printing.

-600 DPI will give great outputs when printing.

After pasting into Word, the images are compressed, and the resulting Word .DOC file will be about 60 to 70 kB per PVsyst page image at 200 DPI.
