The basic model takes the following form :

 

OCV(SOC)  =   Eo +  Alpha . (SOC - 0.5) - K / SOC

 

with:

OCV =

Open Circuit Voltage

Eo  =

base voltage

Alpha =

slope of the open-circuit line

SOC =

state of  charge (varies from 0 to 1)

K =

SOC correction factor

 

Eo, Alpha and K can be set to default values which are technology-sensitive. A limitation is applied when the discharge cut-off voltage or the charge cut-off voltage are reached.
